Fallout

This photo shows a series of light beams apparently falling from the top of the photo in an erratic pattern as if in a shifting breeze. To achieve this, I panned the camera downwards, while creating a sideways shaking movement. The streetlights, at night, in the distance were perfect for this!

Light Stalks

This photo shows a pattern of vari-coloured light stalks growing up from the bottom of the photo, not unlike some sort of other-wordly crop. The trick was to pan the camera upwards with a moderately slow shutter speed while taking a photo of street lights at night from a distance.
